MoU with National Research Centre for Resettlement, Hohai University, China:

The National Research Centre for Resettlement (NRCR), Hohai University, is the first specialised scientific research institution on involuntary resettlement in the world. NRCR is the lead institution for consulting, research and training in resettlement and social safeguards in all development projects in China. NRCR is a major partnering institution of the international institutions like the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Investment Bank etc. in the area of resettlement and social safeguards. The Centre is engaged in the social assessment of several big infrastructure projects in diverse sectors such as water, transport, urban etc. The Centre offers Ph.D and Master Courses in Resettlement Science and Management for students from across the world.

To support cooperation and create research network for effective management of social issues in infrastructure development, the National Research Center for Resettlement (NRCR) China and the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), India, the two leading institutions in India and China signed an MoU at Nanjing, China during July, 2016.

Areas of Partnership
Establish and operate the China-India International Research and Training Centre in Resettlement and Social Safeguards, a United Research Centre specialized in Involuntary Resettlement and Social Safeguards.
Conduct international professional training in involuntary resettlement, and social/environmental safeguards, in cooperation with the World Bank and other international organizations
Develop/finalise course curriculum, case studies, training manuals, delivery arrangements and operating mechanism for the Courses.
Collaborate in Research and Consultancy Studies in LARR and other fields of mutual interest;
Exchange faculty and staff members and their academic, research, professional training and consulting related programs;
